ZTE is announcing their ZTE ZXV10 B860H, 4K HDR media player, which seems to be a down-to-earth version of their corporate-ish showcase media player, the ZTE zxv10 b800s2 we talked about a couple of weeks ago.

zte-zxv10-b860h-android-tv-boxPhysically, the ZTE ZXV10 B860H adheres to the de-facto black box case standard on most chinese Android TV boxes, with the usual IO ports and accessories.

We like to think that the differencing factor between the ZTE ZXV10 B860H and other media players out there will be both it’s hardware quality and firmware features.

While reading ZTE’s announcement, there is some indication that this TV box is mainly directed at the IPTV companies out there. Hence, it remains to be seen yet if the ZTE ZXV10 B860H will be purchasable by the general public.

ZTE ZXV10 B860H Specifications

The ZTE ZXV10 B860H OTT box is fueled by the Amlogic S905x chipset while running Android TV os. Just as its bigger brother, this TV box will include a bluetooth remote control.

The ZXV10B860H includes 2gb of RAM and 8gb of FLASH memory. On the network side, ZTE announces bluetooth 4.1 compliance, which is OK, but only 10/100 ethernet, which sounds a bit outdated.

Just as its bigger brother, this TV box will include a bluetooth remote control, which is a nice plus to factor in.

ZTE also explains in their product announcement that theZXV10 B860H will be fully integrated with their Smart Home Services concept, integrating Multi-Screen, HD Video Call, Family Album, Home IoT Network and Voice Assistant.

ZTE ZXV10 B860H Pricing

This media player has yet to hit the streets and show the sale strategy and targeting from ZTE, so accordingly, the following information needs to be taken with a bit of caution:

The rumour has it that it will reach the US market with a price tag of USD 69, which is a bit steep for an S905X based tv box, but ok considering brand and eventual product quality.

To sum it up, the ZTE ZXV10 B860H  may be a nice Android TV box to have… if we are given the purchase opportunity by ZTE.
